JOHNNY DEPP has hit back at critics of his sign-language skills on Paul McCartney's video to My Valentine. 

 The Dark Shadows star was slammed by experts for misinterpreting key words in the promo he did with Natalie Portman.

But Johnny said: “I had to learn sign language and I was only copying what the guy showed me, so track him down.
“Apparently, instead of ‘love’ I might have said, ‘murder’.
“But it was a gas – sign language is apparently very interpretive.
“It’s all kind of different.”

So perhaps it makes sense that his comedy heroes are Laurel & Hardy.
The Italian star revealed that the legendary 1930s double act make him laugh more than anybody else on TV. He watches their short black-and-white films while he’s relaxing at home.
Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy – whose most famous catchphrase is “Well, here’s another nice mess you’ve gotten me into” – wouldn’t be the obvious choice for a Premier League footballer. But Mario has done his best to prove that he’s no ordinary pro.
The striker doesn’t just like to get his laughs in black and white. He also revealed in City’s official magazine, ManC, that he’s a big fan of current US animated comedy Family Guy.
The show’s womaniser Glenn Quagmire must be one of his heroes.
Aside from watching telly, Mario is planning to mark his side’s Premier League title success by getting the trophy tattooed on his arm.

KATY Perry went all patriotic for a gig — donning an American flag dress to perform in front of sailors. 

 

The special show was held in their honour and the I Kissed A Girl singer, 27, was the star attraction.

Her appearance was part of waterfront event Fleet Week in New York.
It marks a US tradition that sees military ships dock in major cities so the crew can take in the sights.
Katy told her followers of the event, writing: “Sea men dock their vessels in the great city of Nyc to experience the land from whence they came. I’m about to give them a show! fleet week.”
Katy’s stars and stripes garment is the latest in a long line of wacky outfits.
Last August, the singer graced the premiere of The Smurfs in a specially made Smurfette dress.

The songbird had lent her voice to the blue cartoon character — and what better way to show that off by having her on your clothes.
In December 2010 she donned a toy soldier costume to perform at the Jingle Ball in New York.

The Call My Name singer posed in an elegant white Victoria Beckham gown at the premiere of her new movie, What To Expect When You’re Expecting – and cosied up to co-star Cameron Diaz.
But she was blissfully unaware her hidden support was creeping out under her arm.
American beauty Cameron complemented Cheryl’s white outfit with a strapless trouser suit and white earrings.
And she had nothing but praise for the Geordie lass – who makes a cameo as a reality show judge in the movie.
Cameron even predicted a Hollywood future for the former X Factor panellist.
She said of Cheryl: “She’s talented, and she’s so lovely and I think of course this is the beginning of many films for her.
"I’m sure she can do whatever she wants to.

ONE DIRECTION fans – or Directioners, as they call themselves – don’t miss a trick. 

 

A girl sneaked into a changing room being used by the lads and caught Liam Payne half-naked. She managed to squeeze by bodyguards as they were busy holding back a mob who had invaded a New York gym the boys were using.
A source said: “Liam was stunned when he saw her in the changing room – he couldn’t believe she’d got past security.
“For one thing, he was in the middle of getting dressed and had no idea what she was going to do, as their fans in the US are mad.”
Security was soon alerted and the girl was escorted out.
Liam and bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson were also put on the spot on Wednesday night by Will Smith’s son.
Jaden Smith spotted the lads at the Men In Black 3 premiere party in New York and dragged them over to his actor dad to rap the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air theme tune to him.
He’d seen their cover of it online and they didn’t disappoint by belting it out – with Will’s help. But Zayn didn’t make much of an impression – Will remembered all the lads’ names except his.
