Justin Bieber Struts His Stuff on the Basketball Court, Gets Named MVP

 

We know he's got talent when it comes to singing and dancing, but does Justin Bieber also have enough skiils to be named the Most Valuable Player on the basketball court?
Never say never.


Bieber fever came on top, with the 16-year-old Grammy nominee voted as the game's Most Valuable Player at the 2011 BBVA NBA Celebrity All-Star Game yesterday.
And, it wasn't technically just a popularity advantage.
The Biebs scored eight points to go along with four assists, in the East team's defeat. He, of course, "drew the loudest cheers with his ballhandling, a few slick passes and several glances toward the crowd," a statement said.
He was even getting props on twitter! Sal Masekela tweeted—"Damn. @Common almost had his ankle broke by the Bieber."
Between pulling fast breaks and some courtside recognition, JB also kept his followers on Twitter up-to-date, tweeting—"13 hours on a plane...we land...go straight to the court...yeah we go hard!! 2nd half is about to get serious. #bbvaceleb"
So let's get this straight. Bieber is dominating the music scene, the box office, girls' hearts everywhere and he's a baller!
Now we know.
Oh, and Bieber fans do have something else to look forward to. Our shaggy-haired friend tweets— "That was fun. Crazy being coached by @magicjohnson - gonna auction off my jersey for charity at www.bieberfever.com"
Eeek!

'Nelson' Twin Sued for Trash-Talking Nightclub

Former '90s glam rocker Gunnar Nelson just got sued by a smalltown Virginia club owner ... who claims the singer blasted him in the press for no reason ... and destroyed his business in the process.


It's all over an interview Nelson gave on Examiner.com last August -- two years after performing at Jaxx nightclub in Springfield, VA -- in which the singer calls the venue the "lowpoint" of his career ... and insists the owner still owes him $8,000 for his performance.

Now, club owner Jay Nedry is firing back -- suing Nelson for over $25,000 ... claiming the singer's "irrational, untrue, and slanderous diatribe" in the interview is not only entirely false ... it's completely defamatory.

According to the lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court this month, Nelson's allegations "have had a great negative impact upon Nedry's personal and business reputation, as well as that of Jaxx Nightclub by deterring persons from dealing with him individually and the club."

Nedry is also suing the reporter who wrote the article containing the interview -- claiming she never checked her facts.

J.Lo Breaks Down Crying Over Contestant Dismissal

Jennifer Lopez began crying when it came time to send Chris Medina packing on an episode of "American Idol" that airs on Thursday.



We're told J.Lo became so overwhelmed with emotion, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler had to talk her through it. According to our sources, once J.Lo composed herself, hair and makeup had to swoop in to give her a little touch-up.

Medina was the contestant who brought along his disabled fiancée to the audition. We're told she was not there for the elimination.

Oksana's $15 Million Lawyer Goes After Her

The lawyer who negotiated the $15 million settlement with Oksana Grigorieva -- the settlement she signed and then disavowed -- is going after her for his fee.



Eric George has initiated legal action against Mel Gibson's ex, claiming he did his job in securing a settlement, and the fact that she later disavowed it does not let her off the hook in paying his fee.

According to arbitration documents -- obtained by TMZ -- George's firm is entitled to 10% of the compensation he won for Oksana.  The total sum of the settlement was $15 million, but we're told George's fee did not include a percentage of the portion that was earmarked for child support.

Oksana has refused to pay George and filed legal docs trying to dismiss his claim, but we've learned that motion was denied. 

The D.A. is now considering whether to file extortion charges against Oksana, with Mel's camp claiming she used the explosive audio tapes as leverage to make the $15 million deal -- threatening to release them if she didn't get paid.

Katie Price in teen transvestite stalker scare

Katie Price has reportedly stepped up security after a teenage transvestite managed to gain entry to her Surrey home.

According to The Sun, the 17-year-old pitched up at Price Towers wearing women's clothing, a wig and makeup (no, it wasn't Alex Reid) and was let in after buzzing the intercom.

Luckily Katie wasn't home at the time but the female member of staff who came face to face with the teen reportedly "froze in horror".

An inside source told the newspaper: "This individual travelled from Lincoln specifically to speak to Jordan. He seems obsessed with her.

"Although he made no threats, the staff were very afraid."

The lad was arrested soon after the incident but released when cops couldn't prove he had committed an offence.

Derek Hough flies in to revive Cheryl Cole romance

Desperate Derek Hough flew in to the UK this week in a bid to revive his fast-fading romance with Cheryl Cole.

The Sun reports that Dezza decided to surprise the Geordie X Factor judge on the advice of her mum Joan and is hoping to woo her with cooking and long walks.

Things between Chezza and Dezza have been rapidly cooling of late - there are even rumours that she and cheating ex Ashley are getting close again.

But since Joan has never been a fan of the Chelsea footballer, she's clearly rooting for the dashing dancer.

A source told the paper: "He arranged the whole thing with Joan and she suggested speaking to Cheryl face to face."

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like Derek's romantic plan is working.

The insider explained: "He said she seemed really happy to see him but couldn't tell what was going on in her head and seemed far less touchy-feely than when they went to South Africa."

Oh dear - first she cancels Christmas in LA, then she's playing the ol' "time alone" card... sorry Dezza but we reckon it's only a matter of time before Cheryl's comes out with "it's not you, it's me".

Are Li-Lo and Sam Ronson together again?

We never thought we'd say this but it's starting to look like Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson may be rekindling their romance.

Since Li-Lo left rehab, she's moved in next door to her former lover, spent Valentine's Day with her and now she's sharing her bed.

The formerly very unhappy couple were snapped leaving a nightclub in LA and at six in the morning, Ronson posted this on Twitter: "Watching grey's anatomy - my fave show - with @lindsaylohan sleeping next to me - should i wake her up to let her know her mom is going on GMA? Why?"

Lindsay and Sam dated for two years before parting company and the unpleasantness that ensued made regular headlines.

Frankly, this is one couple that we sincerely hope are 'just good friends'.

Meanwhile, Lindsay's mum Dina did indeed turn up on Good Morning America to discuss her daughter's demons, finally admitting that Lindsay faces a "lifelong struggle" with addiction.

Happily though, Li-Lo hasn't yet fallen off the wagon.

After her night out with Sam, she tweeted: "The reports i was at teddys are inaccurate... I was just at roosevelt to meet Samantha and say happy birthday to a friend.

"I take my sobriety seriously. please don't believe this accusations. i know the rules and i wouldnt risk probation. xoxo L" (sic).
