Miley Cyrus this weekend broke down in tears – while wearing a string vest and some nipple stickers, and what looks like a supportive jock strap, and while singing into a microphone shaped like a banana – while performing Wrecking Ball. You’d be forgiven for thinking Miley was crying because of her outfit, microphone choice and the direction her life is going in, but she wasn’t.

No, instead Miley was crying because of all of the emotions she was feeling while singing a song that was a not-very-coded account of her raw and recently ended relationship with Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth.

Have The Wanted just committed career suicide? Apparently the fivesome have decided to scrap a collaboration with Justin Bieber on their upcoming album because the tune didn't work. Justin is reportedly now sitting in a dark room, topless, drawing bullseyes on his The Wanted 2012 calendar, and crying.
So what happened, The Wanted? Where did it all go so terribly, terribly wrong? What reason could you possibly give for why the Biebster is now making his tiny moustache all soggy with his tears?
Max George explained: "We did a song with Justin. I think it was a great song and he did an amazing job writing it, but I think it was very much more suited to his style."
Ouch. The band quickly tried to soothe those wounds by saying Justin was "too humble" to ever give them advice on handling their new-found fame.
"He's not someone who really gives advice like that because I think he just appreciates what's happened to him rather than thinks he's, y'know, God," continued Max. "We talk about… football, or basketball. Or, you know, normal stuff."
The boys also discussed why their album has been pushed back (and back and back), and apparently it's nothing to do with Justin Bieber repeatedly calling their house late at night and hanging up until they suffered too much sleep deprivation to drag themselves into a recording studio, and everything to do with them having musical integrity.
"I think that we weren't ready a year ago. It just wasn't ready; the songs weren't finished," said Siva Kaneswaran.
"We want to put out the best of us and we are ready now and every song is so personal and we've all aged as writers, and it's very mature ... and it's the best album yet."

Simon Cowell seems to be doing quite a good job at making things up to his former BFF Cheryl Cole if his birthday present to her is anything to go by.

Simon Cowell has bought Cheryl Cole the title of Lady for her birthday. The 53-year-old star has reportedly bought a piece of land in the Scottish Highlands under Cheryl’s name which comes complete with a title.

It was reported over the weekend that Simon had snubbed Cheryl’s 30th birthday party celebrations after she extended an olive branch with an invite to the bash following the pair’s very public falling out after he sacked her from the X Factor USA in 2011.
