Michael McIntyre quits BGT

Michael McIntyre has quit his role as a judge on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.

He is said to have told ITV yesterday of his plans to leave the show - after just one year on the panel - in order to concentrate on a 100-date tour he is undertaking next year.

“I absolutely loved being a judge but have been itching to get back on stage myself,” he said. “I wish the show and production team every success.”

It’s thought he was paid £250,000 for the role.

It follows the departure of David Hasselhoff, who was reportedly axed last month, now leaving just Amanda Holden on the panel.
