The happy couple tied the knot on New Year's Eve - although early on, we imagine, so that Hugh didn't miss his bedtime We just can't imagine what this 26-year-old gal sees in this 86-year-old MULTI-MILLIONAIAREIf you were hoping to snare yourself a multi-millionaire in 2013,
then we're sad to report that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner is officially
off the market after marrying playmate Crystal Harris. We bet you're
GUTTED.
The ceremony took place at 86-year-old Hef's Los Angeles
home (known by you as the Playboy Mansion) on New Year's Eve, with the
happy couple taking to Twitter (where else?) to announce the news.
"Crystal
& I married on New Year's Eve in the Mansion with Keith as my Best
Man. Love that girl!" tweeted Hef, along with a picture of the
newlyweds.
Keith's his brother, in case you were wondering. They're laughing because they all know that those stairs have seen a LOT of ladies walk up them
He followed up with another picture, this one with the message: "Happy New Year from Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hefner!"
Prior
to the ceremony, Crystal, 26, tweeted: "Today is the day I become Mrs.
Hugh Hefner. Feeling very happy, lucky, and blessed."
And, like
someone who's been practising her married signature for months, the
model has already changed her name on Twitter to Crystal Hefner.
The
following morning, Crystal - who replaced Holly Madison as Hef's
'number one girlfriend' in 2008 - tweeted pictures of her dress in all
it's glory, and of herself with her new husband and her new mum. Who,
incidentally, is about thirty years younger than the daughter's new
hubby. Which isn't weird at all, is it?? It's not the first time Hugh's tried to take Crystal up the aisle
either. The pair were due to get hitched back in June 2011, but Crystal
called the whole thing off (possibly at the thought of seeing Hugh's
crinkly old bottom) days before the ceremony, depsite the fact that a
copy of Playboy with her on the front and the headline 'Introducing Mrs.
Crystal Hefner' was already winging its way to stores all over the
world. Whoopsy.
After the split, Crystal went on the infamous
Howard Stern radio show (you know, the one celebs go on when they want
to say something totally wild and controversial) where she discussed
their sex life, revealing that they'd only ever got down and dirty once..
"It lasted like about two seconds," she said. "I was over it. I just like, walked away. I am not turned on by Hef. Sorry."
And
yet just one month later Crystal had reconsidered and agreed to give
the wedding thing another shot. We can't imagine why. Nothing to do with
his bank account, we're sure.
The singer spoke out after a member of the paparazzi was killed while chasing after his famous car
Justin Bieber has called for a change in law to protect celebrities
and photographers after a member of the paparazzi was killed while
chasing his famous car.
Justin
was not in the white Ferrari at the time, but it's thought that one of
his friends was driving when the photographer was struck down by an
oncoming vehicle in LA.
And after hearing about the tragic
incident, Justin - who has had problems with the paparazzi in the past -
released the following statement.
He said: "While I was not
present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and
prayers are with the family of the victim.
"Hopefully this
tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other
necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police
officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."" According to TMZ, the photographer had been following the Ferarri
along Sepulveda Blvd - and got out to take pictures of the car when it
was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol (for a routine traffic
stop).
The American website claims that the Highway Patrol told
the photographer to move back as he tried to get snaps through the
Ferrari window - because the situation was unsafe.
However, the
man was hit by an oncoming car and killed. According to the Los Angeles
Times, he was struck as he ran back to his own car.. The Los Angeles Police are investigating the accident, but TMZ
reports that drugs and alcohol were not a factor for the driver of the
car while hit the photographer.
No arrests have been made.
