The singer spoke out after a member of the paparazzi was killed while chasing after his famous car

Justin Bieber has called for a change in law to protect celebrities and photographers after a member of the paparazzi was killed while chasing his famous car.
Justin was not in the white Ferrari at the time, but it's thought that one of his friends was driving when the photographer was struck down by an oncoming vehicle in LA.
And after hearing about the tragic incident, Justin - who has had problems with the paparazzi in the past - released the following statement.
He said: "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.
"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves.""
According to TMZ, the photographer had been following the Ferarri
along Sepulveda Blvd - and got out to take pictures of the car when it
was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol (for a routine traffic
stop).
The American website claims that the Highway Patrol told the photographer to move back as he tried to get snaps through the Ferrari window - because the situation was unsafe.
However, the man was hit by an oncoming car and killed. According to the Los Angeles Times, he was struck as he ran back to his own car..
The Los Angeles Police are investigating the accident, but TMZ
reports that drugs and alcohol were not a factor for the driver of the
car while hit the photographer.
No arrests have been made.
