Against all costs

X Factor judge Tulisa faces massive legal bills of £100+ for fighting sex tape leak

Tulisa
Ouch ... X Factor judge Tulisa

TULISA will have to watch her pennies – she faces paying more than £100,000 in legal bills for suing over her leaked sex tape.

The X Factor star has to foot the bill because the people she accused of releasing the clip don’t have that kind of wedge.
A source said: “Tulisa firstly paid a legal team to have the tape removed from websites.
“Then she wanted to make an example of her ex-boyfriend who admitted in court he leaked it.
“It’s cost her a bomb so far – and she’s still not finished.
“Even if she wins financial compensation it’s unlikely she’ll ever see any of it and she’ll end up paying for the case herself. Financially she’ll have lost, but she might see it as a moral victory.”
Tulisa – pictured here filming an alternative video in coordination with Samsung for her single Live It Up – is now suing nine respondents, including two firms, over the release of a tape showing her romping with ex-boyfriend Justin Edwards.
Using top-flight lawyers Lewis Silkin, she is accusing them of plotting with Edwards to make £4million by selling the six-minute clip on the web.
One of the alleged conspirators is music manager Chris Herbert, who created The Spice Girls.
He has been dumped from his consultancy role on this year’s X Factor to avoid a clash with judge Tulisa.
The source added: “Ironically, if Chris had been able to keep his job at The X Factor he would have had no problem paying up if Tulisa proves his involvement.
“But now he’s been booted off the show, that’s in question.”
