Ne-Yo has worked closely with Beyonce for years so it's hardly surprising he has jumped to the defence of the diva, insisting that she is one of the most “down to earth” musicians in the industry.

The 'Let Me Love You' singer has been friends with Beyonce for years, most notably working with the songstress on her 2006 hit 'Irreplaceable' and now on her upcoming fifth studio album.
Following the premiere of her HBO documentary, 'Life Is But A Dream,' last month, Beyonce was attacked by critics who felt she wasn't as open about her personal life as she had promised.

However, Ne-yo says that Beyonce doesn't put on a facade and hasn't allowed her superstar status change her as a person. “She's the exact same person she was the first time I met her,” Ne-Yo told Capital FM.

Ne-Yo has been fortunate enough to work heavily on Beyonce's new album, expected for release in April, and the 'Sexy Love' singer has promised that fans are in for a treat.
“Beyonce's gonna put out a great album full of great songs and the world is going to love it,” Ne-Yo revealed.
