CORRIE lothario Bill Roache has slammed promiscuity – despite bedding more than 1,000 women. 

 

The soap veteran described sleeping around as “no sort of life”. He added: “It is not something to boast about. I recommend you meet someone and fall in love.”
The 80-year-old, who has played Ken Barlow since 1960, was speaking at the Baftas, where he picked up Corrie’s best soap gong.
Last month Bill admitted on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories that he had been nicknamed “C**k Roache” over his busy sex life.
Asked if his bedroom tally came to more than 1,000 women, he said: “Well, I’m not denying it.
“There were plenty of girls around. I shouldn’t have done it.
“I didn’t have any control over my own sex drive.”
Bill’s real-life exploits put his on-screen dalliances in the shade – as Ken he only notched up 28 girlfriends during his six decades on the show.
Meanwhile, yesterday his excited co-star Michelle Keegan tweeted a picture of herself holding the show’s Bafta trophy as she headed out of London on a train.
She wrote: “Taking the Bafta home to Manchester!!!”
