MOST couples take the scissors to photo albums after breaking up, to snip their ex out of their life.
But when it came to her fly-on-the-wall documentary, Part Of Me, there was no
way Katy Perry was going to let warts ’n’ all footage of her failed marriage
end up on the cutting-room floor.
That must’ve felt like a kick in the plums to estranged hubby Russell Brand, who asked that any footage involving their relationship be kept out of the final edit.
Katy had a word with producers, but decided the movie wouldn’t flow without having snippets of their life together.
Things came to a head a few days ago, when Russell called Katy to see what had made the final cut.
A source said: “When she first decided to make the movie in 2010, Russell agreed to be filmed on the condition he got to see the final edit.
“Being a fly-on-the-wall documentary, he knew full well that it was going to be warts and all – and wasn’t best comfortable with that. But Katy persuaded him to do it.
“Now they have broken up, she can keep whatever she wants in the film.”
