Jennifer Lopez Turns Down Role On Us X Factor

JENNIFER LOPEZ has reportedly turned down a judging role on SIMON COWELL's US version of the X FACTOR.
JENNIFER LOPEZ has rejected SIMON COWELL's advances to lure her from AMERICAN IDOL to his new show the X FACTOR, according to the UK's Daily Mirror. Lopez was reportedly approached by Cowell shortly after she had signed on to SIMON FULLER's 'Idol' and the newspaper claim that the music mogul began "begging her to ditch it and join the panel of US X Factor". The 41-year-old was "bowled over by Cowell's charm offensive" and initially agreed to make the switch, however, the singer and actress later changed her mind after Fuller personally flew to the US to speak with her. One source revealed "Jennifer was perfectly happy with Idol, for which she earns $10million, until Cowell lured her away with all sorts of ludicrous promises. Fuller flew in specially to have a quiet word with her in which he pointed out that he wouldn't be making the Latino project she is so keen on unless she stayed". The insider goes on to say, "Jennifer quickly saw sense and pulled out of US X Factor, which is why you've got this unseemly scramble for judges going on as we speak".
The US version of the X FACTOR premieres later this year and it is expected that NICOLE SCHERZINGER will join Cowell on the judging panel, with CHERYL COLE also likely to sign up. Recent speculation has suggested that the show's bosses are currently courting JAMIE FOXX as another potential judge.
