Louisa Lytton banned from driving for 14 months

Oh dear, oh dear. Looks like that Louisa Lytton is in a spot of trouble. The former Eastenders star has been banned from getting behind the wheel of a car for 14 months – after being found guilty of drink driving. The actress was also fined £350 by Westminster Magistrates Court for her huge misjudgement and was told she could only reduce her ban if she completed a State-approved course.

Louisa, 22, had been arrested in the early hours of 30 January for driving with excess alcohol in her system. But her manager maintains she knows how reckless she has been and regrets her actions. “She is very remorseful about this, and will move on. She will live and learn from it. She had only had one drink and was just over the limit, but she knows that the law is the law, she understands the severity of it, and that you can't drink and drive,” he explained after the sentence was delivered.

Well one drink too many or not, we hope Louisa has learned her lesson. And it does seem like she has because she was tweeting about it yesterday, “In life we make mistakes,” she wrote. “And have to deal with the consequences x”.

For those who don’t remember Louisa or have a vague memory of her but can’t quite place her face, she used to play Ruby Allen in ‘Enders about five years ago, where she mainly had massive strops and fights when her gangster dad (played by Billy Murray) wouldn’t give her what she wanted (it’s coming back to you slowly, right?). Louisa then left the show (after collecting a Sexiest Female award, of course) to join The Bill and there, she played WPC Beth Green until 2009.
