Rihanna sets the stage on fire at the Brit Awards

Rihanna sets the stage on fire at the Brit Awards

As the evening rolls on, the performances are getting better and better, with Rihanna lighting up the O2 arena at The Brit Awards 2011.
With a nomination for Best International Female Solo Artist, one of the most sought after awards of the evening, her nerves must be on edge. However she didn’t let it show, as she set the stage on fire. Almost literally with a “barbecue pit” in the centre and 20 feet high flames.
Her stunning performance was an incredible medley of three of the biggest singles from her latest album, Loud: the addictive Only Girl In The World, the controversial S&M and the hit song What’s My Name.
Her outfit, in true Rihanna style, was smoking hot too, and didn’t leave a lot to the imagination but she carried off the show with confidence.  Not to mention some trademark sexy hip thrusts, which she managed to do, whilst maintaining an innocent smile on her face.
James Corden warned male viewers to “grab hold of that scatter cushion” and not to worry because “it doesn’t make you blind!”
During the first song, Only Girl in the World, she wore a massive red cape with giant roses round the neck but that was soon removed to reveal a very sexy, lacy one piece, complete with massive knickers, for the next two tracks.
In her category, Best International Female Solo Artist, Rihanna is up against Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Kylie Minogue and Robyn. Will she be the only Girl in The World for this Award? Only time will tell…
