The rapper – who was locked up for almost a full year after being convicted of perjury and conspiracy - claims she made 'friends for life' at the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia.
And here we were thinking prison was an unpleasant place...
"I was greeted with open arms by a lot of wonderful, wonderful girls at FDC Philadelphia," Kim told MTV's RapFix Live.
"I met a lot of good people in there who are still my friends to this day."
Lil' – who is due to release her fifth album later this year - also claimed that she used her time in jail to recharge after working nonstop during her last months of freedom
All in all then, sounds like a nice little break!
